Video pitch for campaign video

First draft poster

First draft poster.PNG

I created a campaign poster to raise awareness about the dangers of single-use plastics and encourage people to make eco-friendly choices. The aim of my campaign is to educate the public and inspire action to protect the environment, especially the oceans and wildlife.

To design my poster, I used Canva. I started with a basic layout and then developed it over time, improving the design and information in each draft. I made changes to the font sizes, layout, and wording to make the message clearer and more eye-catching. Canva helped me arrange the text and visuals neatly and choose colours that fit the theme of the campaign, like green and blue to represent nature and the sea.

My poster uses common poster codes and conventions, such as a bold headline to grab attention, bullet points to share key facts clearly, and a call to action at the bottom to encourage people to get involved. I also included a slogan and hashtags to make it feel like a real campaign. I used simple icons and symbols like a stop sign and a turtle to help the viewer quickly understand the message.

In my next poster, I plan to include the name of an environmental organisation, such as planet protectors, along with a logo. This will make the campaign look more professional and trustworthy.

Overall, my poster uses a mix of text, colour, and imagery to deliver a clear and powerful message about reducing plastic waste and protecting the planet.

First cut video

My campaign video is part of my project to raise awareness about the harm caused by single-use plastics. It works together with my poster to share the same message: we need to make better choices to protect the planet. Both the video and poster are part of my campaign called Planet Protectors.

At first, I planned the video by thinking about what message I wanted to send. I made sure it would be clear, short, and easy to understand. I then created a storyboard to plan out each scene. This helped me organise my ideas and make sure everything linked well. I used facts from my poster in the video to keep the message the same across both formats.

As I developed the video, I added voice-over, visuals, and text on screen to make it more interesting. I used images of the sea, wildlife, and plastic pollution to show the problem clearly. I also included a call to action at the end, just like in the poster, asking people to switch to reusable items and help protect the environment.

The colours and tone in the video match my poster to keep the campaign style the same. This helps people remember the message and see that both the poster and video are part of the same campaign.
